Autistic artist Stephen Wiltshire draws New York Skyline from memory!

After spending only 20 minutes in a helicopter flying over New York City, Autistic artist Stephen Wiltshire sketches the skyline on a 18ft curved canvas. Plugged into his iPod and listening to classic hits from the 70’s and 90’s, the unbelievably intricate picture ( drawn to scale) shows details of buildings like the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. Going through 12 ink pens, the entire piece takes him about a week to complete. The New York skyline isn’t the only massive drawing of cityscapes. Stephen has also completed drawings of Rome, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dubai, Jerusalem, Tokyo, and London. (Tokyo was done on a 53 foot canvas ) IN 2006, Stephen opened his own permanent gallery in the Royal Opera Arcade
