Busan City in South Korea is looking to position themselves as an internationally renowned design and cultural city by hosting exhibitions like the 2009 Busan Design Festival. The 6 day festival was held on May 25th – May 30th, 2009 in the Busan Metropolitan City Hall and was sponsored by the Busan Fine Arts Association (Busan branch office of Korean Fine Arts Association with support from Busan Metropolitan City, Korea Institute of Design Promotion, Busanilbo times, kookje times, Local Stations: KBS Busan, MBC Busan, KNN. Exhibitors included Design Division Members of Busan Fine Arts Association, overseas invited artists, domestic invited artists, Korea Association of Industrial Designers, Korea Design Firms Association. The festival was a great success and I’m proud to say that one of my poster designs was part of the festival.
