Michael Bierut Talks Type

Michael Bierut talks type for TheAtlantic.com. Nothing quite as pithy or amusing as his performance in “Helvetica”, but this is the first time I’ve heard the tight spacing of photocompositor typography compared to the sexual revolution.- Typographica

Recently I felt the need to buy a book that I could just pick up and read in between classes. Long novels are hard to get started and stick with, but Michael Bierut’s “79 Short Essays on Design”, is the perfect book for busy people. The book is well designed and packed with interesting stories that all designers would find interesting. The book is inexpensive and worth looking into. Buy at amazon here—>
